On Friday 24th November Sue Stephens, Linda Casey, Jack Wells and Paul Meredith from Surrey County Council met with the Fire Officer to talk about fire escape routes in the new school and staff fire safety training. On Monday 27th November Sue Stephens and Jack Wells went to the site and met with the Mayford Green Residents' Association Chair, Madge Day, and other members of her committee. Leon Bastajian, the Willmott Dixon Construction Manager, gave a guided tour of the site and answered questions from the Residents' Association during the tour. The residents were very satisfied and interested and will be coming to the existing Freemantles for our Key Stage 2 Christmas Assembly which we hope they will also be attending in years to come at Mayford Green.

Linda Casey and Jack Wells attended a site meeting on 23rd November and had a tour of the site. Issues from that meeting were that decisions would need to be made on the provider for sensory and soft play rooms so that wiring could be planned into the construction, and that decisions needed to be made about the ironmongery on outside doors. The specification for the relaxation pool is being reviewed and we are considering the possibility that Friends of Freemantles may be able to provide funding to allow the pool to have sound and light sensory functions.
