The building works are still on course for a July completion and the buildings have now started to go upwards. The residential block now has a name - Ruth House. You can see from the photo immediately above that it is taking shape well. The Freemantles leadership team is working closely with Surrey County Council to put in place a job description for the manager of Ruth House. The post will be advertised before the end of this year and we hope to have a manager in post by Easter. The manager will then have the opportunity to work within Freemantles and take on board the ethos and approaches to ASD which can then be transferred into the management of Ruth House.

The school (top photo) is also progressing well - not quite as tall as Ruth House, but you can see from the emerging wall the curve of the building.

While the school has been closed for the summer holidays, steady progress has been made on the new site. Foundations are complete and substructure brickwork has commenced on the school building. Drainage is almost complete. Foundations, drainage and substructure brickwork are complete for the residential block. The new access road tarmac base course, drainage and kerbs are complete. The approved Inspector visits the site on a regular basis and is happy with all the works.
